The Canterbury Climate Action Partnership (CCAP) was formed in June 2019 as a partnership between the Canterbury Society and the Canterbury Sustainable Development Goals Forum. It has now grown to include representatives from other local civic society groups, our three universities, business, residents’ associations, faith groups, youth groups, Greenpeace and many others. See our current partners.
The partnership is an independent not-for-profit Community Interest Company working closely with our city and county councils, and councillors from various political parties attend our meetings. The Partnership sees its main role as bringing together all like-minded interest groups within the district to mobilise action towards a more sustainable future; especially to achieve a zero carbon district by 2030.
Drop in and find CCAP and some of our partners at Whitefriars, Canterbury on Saturday 29th June.
From 12-4pm we will be talking about climate action in Canterbury, showcasing some of the work going on across the district and hearing from you about climate action taking place in your schools, workplaces and community groups.
Find out how to save money, enjoy some local fruit and let the kids take part in free arts and crafts activities. Why not have a go at our famous `How bad are bananas?` game and test your knowledge of the carbon footprints of everyday objects.
