Making Space for Nature in Kent and Medway is working with partners and stakeholders to collaboratively establish shared priorities for the delivery of nature recovery and environmental improvements, in order to create a network of wildlife-rich places across the county.  This local nature recovery strategy will be one of 48 – together these will cover the whole of England, with no gaps or overlaps, to deliver the government’s commitment to ending the decline of nature and supporting its recovery.

Making Space for Nature’s second series of workshops sees the LNRS development move onto the next vital stage of development:

The first 3 workshops of this series will give attendees an opportunity to see the outcomes of the LNRS priorities shortlisting process and help the project team finalise the priorities that will become the focus for action in the county.

And then a further 4 workshops will give attendees an opportunity to work with the project team and other stakeholders to develop the LNRS potential measures – in other words, the actions that will enable the county’s nature recovery priorities to be achieved.

This is where the real work starts, and your involvement is so important – together, let’s make a powerful Local Nature Recovery Strategy for our biodiversity in Kent and Medway!
